Hybrid Oval Bowl Gouge – CPM10V

The Hybrid Oval Bowl Gouge was designed to combine the advantages of the 3/8″ Oval Bowl Gouge and the 1/2″ Oval Bowl Gouge.

Its flute geometry sits between the two sizes, allowing the woodturner to reach tight corners while still maintaining the strength and depth capacity of a larger gouge. The result is a versatile tool that offers excellent control without sacrificing stability.

Jerry Glaser’s oval bowl gouges are known for their balanced flute angles, proper mass, and exceptional stability, making them ideal for demanding bowl turning operations.

Each flute is precision ground on advanced CNC grinding machines, then hardened and cryogenically tempered for durability. The tool is further enhanced with our proprietary Surface Compacting Technology, which refines the steel surface and improves cutting performance.

The tool arrives sharpened so it can be used immediately, while still allowing the turner to refine the grind to their preferred profile over time.
