3/8″ Spindle Gouge – CPM10V

The Glaser Spindle Gouge is a fundamental tool for turning with the grain running between centers. It is ideal for beading, coves, V-cuts, planing cuts, shear scraping, and other detailed spindle work. It can also be used for light hollowing and drilling operations.

The signature Glaser Fingernail Profile allows the tool to maneuver easily in tight spaces while providing greater clearance for the cutting edge. This geometry also increases rigidity and reduces vibration, helping produce cleaner, smoother turned surfaces.

Each flute is precision ground on advanced CNC grinding machines, then hardened and cryogenically tempered. The tool is further enhanced with our proprietary Surface Compacting Technology, which refines the steel surface and creates a micro-burr structure that improves cutting performance.

The tool arrives sharpened so it can be used immediately, while still allowing the turner to refine the grind to their preferred profile over time.
