3/8″ Oval Bowl Gouge – CPM10V

In 1966, Jerry Glaser introduced his Oval Bowl Gouge, providing woodturners with a tool designed for superior performance, proper flute geometry, balanced mass, and exceptional stability during demanding bowl turning operations.

Each flute is precision ground on advanced CNC grinding machines, then hardened and cryogenically tempered. The tool is further enhanced with our proprietary Surface Compacting Technology, which refines the steel surface and produces a micro-burr structure that improves cutting performance at the edge.

The tool arrives sharpened so it can be used immediately, while still allowing the turner to refine the grind to their preferred profile over time.
