1″ Spindle Gouge – CPM10V

The 1″ Glaser Spindle Gouge is a massive, heavy-duty tool designed for demanding spindle turning operations. Its larger profile provides exceptional strength and stability while still delivering the precision required for beading, coves, planing cuts, and other detailed spindle work.

The signature Glaser Fingernail Profile allows the tool to maneuver smoothly while providing increased clearance for the cutting edge. This geometry also improves rigidity and reduces vibration, helping produce cleaner, smoother turned surfaces.

Each flute is precision ground on advanced CNC grinding machines, then hardened and cryogenically tempered for durability. The tool is further enhanced with our proprietary Surface Compacting Technology, which refines the steel surface and produces a micro-burr structure that improves cutting performance.

Manufactured from premium CPM 10V steel, the tool offers exceptional wear resistance and long edge life. Produced using powder metallurgy, the steel provides a highly uniform structure and excellent dimensional stability.
