Our Glaser French Bedan has its sides sloped inward at the bottom allowing for clearance. This feature also prevents the tool from binding in the cut. It can be used for rolling small beads, sizing tenons, rounding spheres or even for smoothing small diameter spindle work. It’s also outstanding when making a straight cut at the bottom of a box. Once you get used to it, you will not turn without it! I enjoy this tool on my spheres!
The CPM10V material on this tool makes it exceptionally resistant to wear. The steel is atomized and compacted, resulting in an extremely homogeneous structure and dimensional stability.
